HTC Sensation, previously called HTC Pyramid, and the G2X from T-Mobile are two innovative additions to the 4G network. Both devices use dual core processors and they also run Android operating systems. Nevertheless, the G2X from T-Mobile uses Android Froyo, whereas the HTC Sensation runs Android Gingerbread. More differences are as follows;
1. Camera
The two devices each have dual cameras, one at the front and the other at the rear. While both have 8MP cameras at the back, the G2X has 1.3MP front camera as compared to 1.2MP front camera of the HTC Sensation. The front camera enables users to make video calls and also chat. Some additional features that the rear camera of G2X has include the ability of capturing HD videos and then instantly watching them on television since it has HDMI mirroring.
2. Display
The display of a phone is a major attraction to many consumers and that is why phone displays are getting bigger and better. HTC Sensation definitely wins with regards to screen size. This is because it has a large 4.3 inch display, which is much bigger that the 4 inch display of the G2X. Besides that, the display on Sensation is far more sensitive than the one used on G2X. This is caused by the presence of several sensors fitted on Sensation’s display.
3. Media sharing
HTC Sensation supports instant sharing of media since it has DLNA certification and HDMI. For HDMI connections, users will need to use a HDMI cable. Moreover, this device has complete access to the new HTC Watch, which is a video services offered for premium television shows and movies. The G2X also allows immediate media sharing since users can shoot videos and watch them on their television screens using HDMI.
Lastly, HTC Sensation performs far much better than G2X since it has a better processor and more RAM. It even has an enhanced battery that offers more talk time.
