Apple has newly introduced some exciting versions of its operating system and they include the iOS 4.2.7 and 4.2.6 for the CDMA model of iPhone 4. It is surprising to note that that this particular iPhone model is also called the Verizon. This is because it cannot use the previous updates that Apple had released. Hence, the aforementioned updates are very important and this is how they differ;
1. The iOS 4.2.6
There are several improvements that have been added onto this update. Here are some of the additional improvements that you can benefit from upgrading to this specific version.
With personal hotspot that is carrier dependent, users can connect easily to the internet even though additional charges may apply.
There is also better threading and an excellent unified inbox that makes sorting mail very easy to do. You can also store your mail in folders.
The additional feature of Bluetooth keyboard functionality means that you can type and send an important mail instantly.
2. The iOS 4.2.7
This update comes with the latest features as far as security is concerned. It was made so as to protect all iPhone users from malicious sites and thus improve browsing experience. Here are some of the security features that were installed.
The certificate trust policies were introduced in this update so as to prevent any attack from an attacker who may have an advantageous network position. Such a person could intercept vital user credentials and other delicate information, thus causing major problems.
It fixes an issue that was seen in Quicklook that involved memory corruption. This happened anytime a user viewed a maliciously made Microsoft Office document. This issue is now solved and you can easily view all kinds of MS documents.
WebKit is also refined and protected from random code execution or unforeseen application termination when surfing some websites.
The Verizon iPhone is thus well catered for with the above updates and you should use either one of these updates to enjoy heightened functionality.
