Answer #1
Motorola is renowned for producing phones with great functionality like the Droid series. The QWERTY keyboard is the major differentiating factor. This keyboard makes Droid 2 much thicker and slightly heavier compared to Droid X. Even so, this QWERTY keyboard is a benefit to users who use text messaging and email often.
1. Screen
The size of the screen is also another differentiating factor. Droid 2 has a small screen of 3.7” compared to a larger 4.3” on Droid X. Hence, users of Droid X will enjoy a better display when doing common tasks like texting, viewing emails or playing games.
2. Memory
Droid 2 is better than Droid X when looking at internal memory. It has an internal memory of 8GB, while Droid X only offers 6.5GB internal memory. However, when you consider the additional memory cards that are also included in the box, Droid X is the better option with 16GB additional memory. Memory is crucial when you are looking to take high quality photos.
3. Camera
Droid X still wins when discussing the camera capabilities. It is equipped with a high quality 8MP camera and thus it can take better photos than Droid 2. In addition, it is also better when recording videos, since Droid X has the ability of recording 720p high definition video. Even though there are some rumors about Droid 2 shooting 720p video after upgrading to the latest Android, 480p is its original capability.
4. Power consumption
Droid 2 does not consume lots of power compared to Droid X. This is because it uses a much smaller battery that can squeeze approximately 10 hours call time and 315 hours standby. In contrast, Droid X only manages 8 hours call time and 220 hours standby despite have a larger capacity battery.
In short, Droid 2 offers energy efficiency compared to Droid X, but the latter has better specs.
