The vast differences between men and women are well documented and also regularly used as jokes. Academics have recently found that there are in fact differences in the structure of men’s and women’s brain and also how they respond to stimuli and events. Discussed further down are examples of distinctions present between men and women.
1. Feelings and emotions
In general, women are more emotional and are also capable of expressing how they feel much better than men. This encourages bonding and that is why women have more friends than men. Furthermore, due to this connection ability, most women act as the best caregivers for kids. The only demerit linked to being more emotional is that, it increases the chances of women to get depression, particularly during periods of hormonal changes like during the menstrual cycle or after giving birth.
2. Reaction to pain
It is incontestable that men and women react to pain differently. Women even require higher amounts of morphine in contrast with men so as to attain effective pain reduction. Moreover, women are more probable to express their pain as well as seek treatment during sickness than are their male counterparts. Most men have a high tolerance for pain and this may explain why they can engage in very demanding vocations like road construction.
3. Relationships
Men find it hard to understand emotions, especially the ones that have not been clearly verbalized. Conversely, women normally intuit emotional cues and emotions. In effect, women communicate better and talk through issues, whereas men are more isolated and task-oriented. These differences clarify why women and men have difficulty interacting. It also explains why male friendships appear different from relationships among women.
In brief, men and women are emotionally, intellectually and physically different. This could explain why dating is normally very tricky.
