    Maruti Alto K10 and Maruti Alto are two vehicle versions produced by a leading auto maker called Maruti Suzuki. These two models are very similar and mainly vary in engine capacity. Both these cars are very popular in India, particularly for first car shoppers. Find the differences between Maruti Alto K10 and Maruti Alto are explained below.

    1. Engine

    These two automobiles are each fitted with varying kinds of engines. The Maruti Alto K10 features the much-admired K10 engine. Whereas the old Maruti Alto has a low capacity of only 800cc, its advanced counterpart Maruti Alto K10 has a better engine capacity rating of 1000cc.

    2. Power and torque

    The maximum power produced by the Maruti Alto is 48 BHP, whereas Maruti Alto K10 produces a 67 BHP power. This difference is caused by the new K10 engine that comes with Alto K10, hence its name.

    3. Mileage

    In contrast to other cars in India, cars produced by Maruti Suzuki have better mileage. The Maruti Alto produces a 19.80 KMPL mileage. Nevertheless, with its 20 KMPL mileage, Maruti Alto K10 has the best car mileage in India’s A2 market segment.

    4. Size

    The two cars can also be differentiated in terms of size. The Maruti Alto K10 has a 3620mm length as contrasted to Maruti Alto’s 3495mm. This means the new Alto K10 is a bit more spacious than its earlier version.

    5. Tires

    In contrast with the Maruti Alto’s normal tubes, Maruti Alto K10’s tires are tubeless. This translates into lesser maintenance practices for Maruti Alto K10. Furthermore, the K10 also has 13 inch wheels installed, which is better than Alto’s wheels that are only 12 inches.
