There are a lot of new technologies being out in the market today and some of them are almost the same due with regard to usability. Example is the Ipad and the Kindle. Both of these are electronic devices. However, there are also differences between the two which are enumerated as follows:
The Ipad is manufactured by Apple while Kindle is manufactured by Amazon. The IPad has more uses and functions because you can do a lot of things with it such as web browsing, email, web processing. It is not just an e-book reader like Kindle. With Ipad, you can even play games, watch movies, download songs, and even install applications. In Kindle, application could not be installed. It is only a reader.
With regard to the size and physical appearance, Ipad uses a touch screen which is very sensitive while Kindle uses e-ink technology which is best used in taking notes and searching. . Ipad has colorful screen while Kindle may look a little bit plain with its gray color. Kindle is best used at daytime because it needs lighting conditions. For Ipad, you can use it a night because of its back light function. Kindle is much more portable because of its weight and size. It is lighter than the Ipad.
Another difference is the price. Kindle is cheaper because of its limited uses. Ipad is definitely more expensive since it is made by Apple and has a lot of functions.
The choice between Ipad and Kindle would again depend on the type of users. For those who love to read without suffering from eye strain, then Kindle is better. For those who want to be informed as well as entertained, then Ipad is a good choice. The consumers have still the right to judge which one is better according to their needs. After all, the choice lies in their hands.
