HTC continues to upgrade its old models by producing phones like Desire S and Incredible S. Both phones run the highly creative HTC Sense as the user interface. Of the two phones, Incredible S was targeted at the high end market and thus it features enhanced functionality than its counterpart.

Incredible S sports an elegant design that is accompanies with a huge 4” super LCD screen. Some of the other notable features include 1GHz processing power, 768MB RAM and a phone memory of 1.1GB. Furthermore, it also has a dual flash 8MP camera along with a 1.3MP from camera for video chat. The design of the Incredible leans towards immersing the user in a complete multimedia experience. This is evident with the surround sound offered.

Meanwhile, Desire has an appealing slim design that is complete with a 3.7” capacitive touch screen. Other mentionable features include a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 768MB RAM and Wi-Fi. It also has two cameras, one being 5MP while the other VGA camera at the front enables video chat. The 5MP camera supports high definition video recording at only 720p. It supports various video formats and uses Skype for video calls

Key differences:

1. Weight

Incredible S is heavier compared to Desire S and this may affect portability to some extent. The weight difference is caused by the larger display found on Incredible S.

2. Display

The screen fitted on Incredible S is about 0.3” bigger in comparison to the screen found on Desire S. Hence, Incredible S users will enjoy better quality images due to the bigger display.

3. Design

While Incredible S features a contour design, Desire S has an unattractive unibody aluminum structure.

4. Camera

While both support HD videos at 720p, they have different camera resolutions. Incredible has a better 8MP camera compared to 5MP camera on Desire S.

In short, Incredible S offers better features but it is much more expensive compared to Desire S.
