In the world of Smartphone, there are two names that competes with each other head to head these are HTC Evo Shift 4G and Apple iPhone 4. The two Smartphone are proven to be high quality devices and boasts on special features which sets the one different from the other.
Aside from the classy and hip designs, its display, operating system, memory, connectivity, processor speed, and the likes are important specifics that consumers look into before purchasing them. And below are the differences between the two.
In terms of display, HTC Evo Shift is different as it has a 3.6 inches TFT capacitive touchscreen feature with a resolution of 480×800 pixels, and a QWERTY full slide-out keyboard. In comparison, iPhone 4 has a slightly smaller touchscreen that measures 3.5 inches, a greater resolution of 640×960 pixels, a Retina display, and a virtual keyboard.
While HTC Evo Shift is installed with Android 2.2 Froyo software coupled with enhanced HTC Sense, a processor speed of 800 MHz Qualcomm MSM7630, built in memory of 512MB RAM and 2GB ROM, in addition to an expandable external memory of 32GB through microSD card. iPhone 4 is contrarily different as it operates with iOS 4 software, a 1GHz processor speed using Apple A4, a 512MB RAM with a choice to use either its 16GB or 32GB flash memory but does not have room for adding external memory.
In terms of camera, iPhone 4 is again slightly different as it has a secondary camera and offers a Facetime application used for video chats.
And when it comes to connectivity, HTC Evo Shift offers 3G and 4G network with a talk time lasting to 6 hours as compared to iPhone 4 that only works on 3G network but has a talk time of 7 hours. Widgets, WiMAX are also available in HTC Evo Shift while iPhone 4 has internet tethering.
With all these features taken into account, it will be up to the preference of the consumers which Smartphone to purchase. Besides, sooner or later there will always be another brand of Smartphone that will surely make its way in the competition.
