Android Honeycomb and Apple iOS are operating systems designed by Google and Apple respectively for running smart phones and tablets. Apple released their latest iOS 4.3 in early March 2011 for iPad 2 3G, while Google introduced Android 3.0 in late January 2011. The competition between Samsung Galaxy 10.1 and iPad 2 is largely based on the features and performance of Android 3.0 against iOS 4.3.
1. Features of Apple iOS4.3
This new operating system features additional functionality and features as contrasted to the previous iOS 4.2. It supports additional swipes and multi-touch gestures. Another new feature is the iTunes sharing feature. The iOS 4.3 also features enhanced video streaming as well as Airplay support. The Honeycomb from Google is best for devices that have large screens like tablets. It has wonderful user interface and it provides an amazing web browsing session. As usual, Android 3.0 has included all the famous Google applications like Google Talk, Google Calendar, Gmail, Google Maps, Google Search and a better YouTube. Furthermore, it has added wallpapers with redesigned widgets. It offers three different home screens, which users can customize.
In conclusion, Android 3.O offers rich browsing and enhanced multitasking, while iOS 4.3 has limitation with media streaming even though some enhancements have been introduced with enhanced Airplay.
