Imported cars are nowadays the in thing due to the reliability and performance they offer. The Civic and Jetta are two vehicles that are imported into the country and they are highly regarded by consumers. These vehicles are ideal for potential buyers because they each have unique features. Since the cars have very similar prices, it is beneficial to know other key differences other than their manufacturers.
1. Fuel efficiency
Volkswagen Jetta offers its users more mileage for every gallon. It has a fuel efficiency of 21-30 mpg in the city and 30-40 mpg on the highway. In contrast, Honda Civic has an efficiency rating ranging from 21-25 mpg in the city and 30-36 mpg on the highway. Nevertheless, the Civic fares much better when considering the rates of carbon emission. It emits 6 tons as compared to Jetta that releases 7.3 tons.
2. Trunk capacity
The other huge disparity is the trunk space of the two cars. Jetta has a large trunk of sixteen cubic feet. This allows Jetta owners to have more trunk space for storage and packing. In contrast, Civic only has twelve cubic feet. The additional space in Jetta is particularly beneficial for families going on very long vacations.
3. Technological features
Volkswagen offers all Jetta models heated mirrors, daytime lights and also heated seats. Honda also offers the same features in their Civic models. However, they have used several additional technology pieces. For instance, there is an innovative navigation system that offers voice recognition.
The two cars have similar interiors but they are different in the quantity of leg space they offer passengers. Honda Civic offers more leg space to the front seat passengers as compared to Jetta, offering drivers more comfort while driving. In contrast, Jetta does provide more leg space for passengers in the back seat.
